# Permissions

All permissions live under the `aurasounds.*` root node.

## Admin permissions

Give these to staff who build and manage soundscapes:

## Player permissions

| Node                                           | Grants                                            |

| `aurasounds.on` / `aurasounds.off`             | Toggle one's own ambience (persistent preference) |
| `aurasounds.on.other` / `aurasounds.off.other` | Toggle for another player                         |

## Gating sounds by permission

Remember that any **sound** can require a permission through its conditions:

```yaml
conditions:
  permission: 'aurasounds.hear.vip'
```

This is a *condition*, not a command permission — perfect for VIP-only ambiences, quest-gated audio, or rank-based soundtracks driven by your permissions plugin.
